We regularly review monographs using Karl Barth’s theology, and these reviews are available for free to scholars and the interested public.

Who Was Karl Barth?


Considered one of the greatest thinkers in the history of the Christian tradition, Karl Barth (1886-1968) was the most important Swiss theologian of the 20th century. He was the intellectual leader of the German Confessing Church, the Protestant group that resisted the Third Reich. Barth’s writings have been translated into nearly every European language, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and more.
